Pizza Hut Canada rolled out four pizzas celebrating diversity
Pizza Hut Canada has introduced four new pizzas to celebrate Canada's diversity.
To celebrate Canada’s diversity, Pizza Hut Canada has rolled out four new pizza flavors, and there are some interesting combinations on the menu.
According to Foodbeast, the new lineup includes a pulled pork pizza topped with “tropical sauce,” pulled pork in barbecue sauce, red onions, and mozzarella; a sweet barbecue jerk chicken pizza with cheddar, roasted red peppers, red onions, grilled chicken, bacon, and mozzarella; and a hot sriracha chicken pizza with sriracha sauce, green peppers, banana peppers, grilled chicken, and mozzarella. There is also a pepperoni margherita pizza with “old world sauce,” pepperoni, pesto-marinated tomatoes, and mozzarella. All four of the new pizzas sell for $13.73 in U.S. dollars for a medium pizza.
In addition to the four new pizzas, Pizza Hut Canada says it is also introducing two new chicken wing appetizers inspired by Canada’s diversity. One will be dressed in hot sriracha sauce, and the other will be coated in a sweet jerk sauce.
This is not the first time Pizza Hut Canada has rolled out some celebratory, Canada-specific pizzas unavailable to the rest of us, like their Cheesy Beef Poutine Pizza and Smoky Maple Bacon Pizza, both of which were introduced last year.

I don't know if you've noticed, but pizza is kind of having a moment right now. Since we're all spending a bit more time at home, that means ordering a lot of pizza delivery, which you'll never hear us complaining about. But if you're getting tired of your same-old, same-old order, Pizza Hut has announced a new, $10 deal that you can customize in hundreds of ways.
They're calling it the Tastemaker, presumably because you're about to get the opportunity to make a lot of people with different tastes happy. With this deal, you can choose any three toppings on a large pizza for $10. People who love to load up their pizzas with additional toppings know that it can get pretty pricey so a deal like this definitely does not come around every day. You can also get your pie via contactless delivery, carryout, or curbside pickup, so there is no red tape to this deal.
Because you can order three toppings, this means that you can order 680 different combinations, according to Pizza Hut's calculations, and never order the same pizza twice. Pepperoni, olives, and pineapple? $10. Sausage, peppers, and onions? $10! Pepperoni, pepperoni, and pepperoni? $10, but yikes!!
If you're currently craving pizza, you can also be one of the first 680 people to order the $10 Tastemaker via mobile app for delivery and you'll receive one of the 22 1/3-month calendars that Pizza Hut is giving out in order to celebrate the 680 combinations you can order. The calendar will take a bit to get to your house but I guess you can just keep ordering more pizza combos in the meantime.
This monstrosity was kind of like the Big Mac of pizza. There were the crust and all of the standard pizza toppings—which sat on top of a second crust, complete with a cheese layer in between. We'll admit, it's better for everyone's health that this pizza is no longer on the Pizza Hut menu.
TORONTO , March 17, 2021 /CNW/ - Today Pizza Hut Canada announced the debut of 1 Byte Favourites, the world's first "non-fungible pizza (NFP)." This super rare collection will feature a limited quantity of 8-bit-style versions of Pizza Hut favourite recipes and will be available starting on March 16 . Every day, Pizza Hut will release a new highly exclusive pizza slice, right when the world is hungriest: lunchtime.
At a time when NFTs are going for record highs on cryptocurrency marketplaces, Pizza Hut is offering 1 Byte Favourites for record low prices. Pizza Hut will offer these perfect 8-bit slices (8 bits = 1 byte) for approximately the cost of one real bite of pizza, or 0.0001 ETH. The offering will feature Pizza Hut's favourite recipes: Hawaiian, Pepperoni, Canadian, and Margherita. Collectors can find 1 Byte Favourites on Rarible. These precious, inimitable renditions are available for an extremely limited time, but will last forever.
"We're really excited to launch 1 Byte Favourites as an opportunity to give fans another way to get their hands on their favourite Pizza Hut recipes, even if it's virtually," says Daniel Meynen , CMO, Pizza Hut Canada. "It's a fun way to deliver our Favourites on an emerging platform where people can truly appreciate the perfect pan pizza forever."
Non-fungible tokens (NFT) are a form of digital media whereby creation and ownership are verified using blockchain technology, allowing original digital creations to become rare and collectible in the same way as trading cards or famous paintings in the physical world. And they've been gaining steam in recent weeks. This collection is offered to get Canadians excited about their favourite recipes in advance of the launch of Pizza Hut's $10 Favourites promotion.
Pizza Hut believes no world should exist without pizza, especially their pan pizza. That's why they wanted to make sure it was enshrined in the digital universe. And for Canadians that miss out on the action, they're encouraged to order "analog pizza" at pizzahut.ca.

PLANO, Texas, Jan. 26, 2021 / — Pizza Hut, the iconic restaurant known for innovating and launching some of America’s favorite pizzas, like Original Stuffed Crust® and Original Pan®, is announcing its biggest launch of the year – the all-new Detroit-Style pizza, now available nationwide.
Pizza Hut today introduces new handcrafted Detroit-Style pizza nationwide, its unique twist on the hottest trend in pizza. Available in four recipes, each Detroit-Style pizza is rectangular in shape, features cheese all the way to the edge, is loaded with toppings and finished off with a vine-ripened tomato sauce on top. The Double Pepperoni in particular is a work of pizza art boasting 80 pepperoni including, 48 slides of Crispy Cupped Pepperoni which provides a crunchy texture and zesty flavor
Born out of the growing popularity of this pizza style across the country and requests from customers, Pizza Hut spent over a year developing and perfecting its Detroit-Style pizza, trying more than 500 iterations and testing several of those in the Midwest, where this distinct style was born.
True to the traditional Detroit style, each pizza is rectangular-shaped, features cheese all the way to the edges to create that crispy, thick, caramelized crust, is loaded with toppings and finished off with a vine-ripened tomato sauce on top to keep the crust light and airy. To make this new menu item truly unique, Pizza Hut incorporated its own take on a few elements – such as the new, vine-ripened tomato sauce that’s only available on Detroit-Style – which it tested eight different versions of before finding the perfect taste.
There are four new Detroit-Style recipes to choose from – each loaded up with toppings 1 and cheese that can only be supported by that thick, rectangular signature Detroit-Style crust. The Detroit Double Pepperoni in particular is a work of pizza art. It’s topped with 32 slices of regular pepperoni and another 48 slices of Crispy Cupped Pepperoni, which crisp up in the oven and provide a crunchy texture and zesty flavor. That’s a whopping 80 slices of pepperoni on one pizza. The additional handcrafted Detroit-Style recipes include:
“Countless hours were spent testing and perfecting every detail here to create our take on Detroit-Style pizza,” said David Graves, chief brand officer, Pizza Hut. “The caramelized cheese crust and the sauce on top take the taste of this pizza to the next level.”
All four Pizza Hut Detroit-Style recipes are available now at locations nationwide for contactless delivery, carryout or curbside pickup 2 starting at $10.99. Pricing varies by location. Click here to find your nearest Pizza Hut location.

In a large bowl, mix yeast, sugar, warm milk (do not bring to a boil) and melted butter.
Let rest 10 minutes to allow yeast to activate. Foam will form along the surface.
Mix flour and salt. Gradually add to bowl, mixing with a fork, and eventually with your hands if using a fork becomes difficult. Incorporate flour until dough is consistent and fairly firm.
Flour a work surface and knead the dough, adding a bit of flour until dough no longer sticks. To knead, fold and flatten the dough for roughly 5 minutes, using the palm of your hand or fist.
Place dough ball in a bowl greased with butter, cover, and allow dough to rise in a warm, draft-free location. The dough must double in volume. This should take about 45 minutes.
Deflate the dough prior to working it according to the chosen recipe.
Suggestions for flavouring the dough: Grated Canadian cheese, fresh or dried herbs, spices, chopped dried fruit, chopped garlic, chopped caramelized onions, various types of flour. (The aromatics must be added at the same time as the flour.)
When you order from Pizza Hut -- or from any chain pizza restaurant, for that matter -- you know what to expect. There's a difference between brick oven goodness and something in the realm of Domino's and Papa John's.
This is not a bad thing there's a time and a place for delivery pizza, and that time and place is usually at home on the couch in front of the television.
But just because such pizza isn't gourmet doesn't mean it shouldn't be prepared with care. In fact, one of the greatest things about this dinner is that it's dependable: You usually know what you're getting. And yet, there are mishaps. Lately, some dissatisfied diners have taken to Pizza Hut's Facebook to post photos of deliveries that didn't live up to the chain's advertisements. Reps for the company nearly always reply in an effort to remedy the mishaps, so kudos to Pizza Hut for that. Nevertheless, these unfortunate Pizza Hut fails below prove that even if a recipe's been reproduced a trillion times, error is always possible.
For those unfamiliar with the appeal of Detroit-Style pizza, key elements in the Midwest 'za are the caramelized crunch of its edges, unique rectangular shape, and crispy cup pepperoni. All of which lend to a slice that's unforgettable and crave-worthy.
If you've never had it, surely such a description has piqued your palate. But now thanks to Pizza Hut, one won't have to travel to the Motor City or scour the most specific pizza joints to give it a try. That's because they have just launched their own take on Detroit-Style pizza, available nationwide starting today.
Pizza Hut's version required over more than 500 iterations before settling on one, definitive take on the rectangular wonder that is Detroit-Style. Staying true to its roots, their take features thick, crispy, and caramelized crust, vine-ripened tomato sauce, and Detroit Double Pepperoni — 32 slices of regular pepperoni joined by another 48 slices of crispy and zesty cup pepperoni.
Four different recipes of Detroit-Style will be offered by Pizza Hut: Double Cheesy, Meaty Deluxe, and Supremo all starting at $10.99 at participating locations nationwide.
Canadians, don't be shocked if Americans begin moving en masse to your country they're just there for the Pizza Hut poutine pizza. The poutine pizza is part of Pizza Hut Canada's new 'Something for Every Canadian' menu. The menu boasts five pizzas, with each one designed to highlight the country's cultural diversity.
A creamy butter chicken pizza (Indian), Asian bbq pizza (obvious), grilled chicken club (Canadians apparently love this sandwich) and a smokey maple bacon pizza round out the menu. While all of those pizzas sound amazing, especially the butter chicken one, the star of the menu is easily the poutine pizza. Poutine is quintessentially Canadian, and it seems almost silly that it took this long to get it on a pizza. The Pizza Hut poutine pizza are available now for a limited time.
